Oklahoma After the Rain

Well Today has been the most beautiful day of the new year I think. It's spring, the flowers are in bloom, the grass and trees are green, and the smell after a fresh rain is the most delicious smell there could be. God is truly the artist of artists, I look all around me and the colors so vibrant and true, there can be no richer color than that of a fresh bloom, or the freshly sprouted grass. It makes me stand in awe of the detail He puts into every leaf, every petal, I love to take walks after the shower to experience the sights and sounds of life coming out after taking shelter from the rain. It reminds me of the movie "Bambi", the scene where it starts to sprinkle and the little melodies and little woodland creatures scurrying about. If you do have the chance to take a walk, I ask you to go slow, take the opportunity to look closely at even the smallest bloom, to "smell the roses" if you will, the colors the details, I promise it will make you smile, renew your appreciation of the beauty all around you that God has so generously created for us to enjoy.
